The award is in recognition of not just a month, but a whole season of hard work in the pool.
Always giving 100% has really paid dividends for Alex - he won the 200 FC County title at the beginning of the month.
Further recognition has come in the form of a promotion to the club's Performance Squad (at a very young age).
A real case of getting out what you put in.
Well done Alex - thoroughly deserved.

Swimmer of the Month (Nov) - Mahmood Baghdadi
Mahmood is January's Swimmer of the Month.
Over the last few weeks, Mahmood has been working hard on his front crawl - specifically his leg kick (which is not his favourite).
Tina has been pushing (some might say nagging) him extremely hard and Mahmood has done everything asked of him without complaint.
This has led to a big improvement! Still work to do but we're sure Mahmood is more than up for the challenge.
Well done!
Counties - Relays and Long Distance
The first 3 County Championship weekends saw Kidlington swimmers in action in both the relay and longer distance events.
First up were the 19/11/12 & 13/14 boys in their relays.
A couple of our newer swimmers (Jovan and Zaid) swam in their first relay events.
They both turned in impressive performances and were looked after very well by their more experienced team mates.
Some very solid swims, great takeovers and effort levels - well done lads.
It was a similar story in the girls relays with some new faces joining our "old heads".
The 13/14 girls managed to turn out 2 teams which is fantastic for a club of our size and a great sign for the future.
Some very fast swims were recorded, with the skills the TD gang have been working on in training particularly in evidence.
Possibly the most pleasing sight of the night were the girls who had just swum crammed together at the end of a lane, urging their teammates on in their race - great team spirit.
In the longer distance events, there were 2 PBs from 2 swims for Abbie (800 FC) and Sophia (400 IM) - well done guys!
Now we move onto the "main" County weekends in February.
Detailed results and schedule are on the ONB website here:
Well done to Annabel, who is Swimmer of the Month for November.
Annabel has been working hard on her technique consistently over a long period of time.
Recently, the coaches have challenged her to step up to the next level and really push herself in some of our more challenging sets.
She has more than risen to this challenge, moving up to lane leader for some of the sessions and really impressing with her determination to get through the sets.
A very impressive month - keep up the good work Annabel.

Swimmer of the Month (Oct) - Emily Hill
October's Swimmer of the Month is Emily.
Emily has been working very hard, week-in-week out for a LONG time now and the rewards are now really starting to show.
A well-deserved promotion to Performance squad in September has been followed by big PBs in all events since then.
A true example of hard-work paying off - well done Emily.

National Success for KGSC Masters
A 17 strong team from Kidlington and Gosford Swimming Club took on the best the UK has to offer at the Swim England Masters National Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
The team won four national titles - 2 each for Greg Bird (200 Freestyle and 100 Fly) and Ian Surrage (100 & 200 Breaststroke).
They also took home 6 silver and 12 bronze medals, breaking 17 county records in the process.
This earned the team 21st place overall (out of over 250 teams).
A number of the squad will now turn their attention to representing Oxfordshire and North Bucks at the upcoming Inter-Counties championships.
Swimmer of the Month (Sept) - Abbie Morton
Well done to Abbie on being awarded Swimmer of the Month for September. Abbie has not missed training since making the move to Competition squad and has pushed herself in every session - particularly during the more challenging sets.
Congratulations Jasper!
Congratulations to Jasper, who represented Oxfordshire and North Bucks at the Swim England National County Team Championships.
Jasper was KGSCs only representative - recovering from a broken arm just in time to make the squad.
A fantastic achievement - we're all very proud of you Jasper!
