Covid-19 Safety Protocols

The club will be following Swim England and sports centre guidance on Covid-19 safety protocols and so we need everyone to read the following info so as to maintain strict social distancing at all times at the sports centre.

If you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 you MUST NOT attend training

If you have previously tested positive for Covid-19 please inform the club so coaches can take this into consideration

You must arrive ON TIME. This means being on the grass area 10 minutes before the session starts.
This is to ensure we can get everyone into the pool in the correct order and avoid any confusion.
Therefore I recommend leaving an extra 10-15 minutes to find the sports centre!

The centre will be running a one-way system through the indoor area, please follow this to get to the changing area and pool

Please arrive ‘beach ready’ this means with swimming costume on underneath clothes/ dressing gown/ onesie.
You will not be able to use changing rooms before getting in pool

After training, you may use the changing rooms if needed, and therefore we will stagger finishing times to keep space in the changing village.
The showers will not be in use. We ask that if using the changing rooms you get changed as QUICK as possible.

Woodgreen may put up a gazebo to store bags, if so we will be placing bags in here and returning to the grass area ready to get into the pool.

In the pool, sessions will run differently. We will explain this in detail to the swimmers at their first session but it will involve swimmers keeping a distance of 4-5m at all times,
and you will no longer all congregate at the end of the lane for rest periods.
You will be given an allocated space in the lane to rest at the end of each repeat

The sports centre have a limit of 16 swimmers per double lane to allow for social distancing

Please bring all equipment with you, before the session starts the coaches will let you know what kit you need to bring onto poolside – all other kit will be left with bags

Please make sure your drinks bottle is labelled - it will make it easy to identify when resting at end of lane

Please bring a spare of hat goggles and costume – you will not be able to share or borrow

The coaches will not be able to help put hats/ goggles on and so if you need help doing this please get parents to put them on in the car
*Please note some of these protocols may change once the sports centre confirm final details with us. If so we will make sure everyone is aware of the changes.

New Pool information:

We have had some more details through about entering and exiting the facility. Please read this carefully!

Please make sure you arrive on time! This is a minimum of 10 minutes before the session starts.
Our session will be strictly timed by the sports centre to allow for changeover between sessions.
If you arrive late then this will delay us in the pool.

1. No spectators will be allowed into the facility.
2. Entrance for swimmers will be via the gate in the car park (signposted). You should arrive 'beach ready'.
3. There will be a 1 way system around poolside, please follow this (coaches will be around to help guide).
4. Swimmers will leave bags/ clothes along aqua splash wall.
5. At the end of the session you are permitted to use toilets, showers and changing facilities. This will also be part of the 1 way system.
6. Exit the venue out of the door in the old reception (signposted).
