Spectator information
There’s a large balcony at the Centre so you should be able to watch your swimmer and cheer them on.
Spectator entry cost will be £4.00 per session or £7.00 all day and a programme will cost £1.00.
REFRESHMENTS: There’s a café at the Centre which serves hot and cold food and drink. There are also vending
machines available in the foyer.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Sorry, you’re not allowed to take any photos or videos inside The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre.
You might be asked to leave if you do. However RSC have invited a professional photographer along so you could still
get that fantastic action shot.
SWIM SHOP: RSC have arranged for a swim shop to be open in the Centre during the Saturday and Sunday of the meet,
with a large range of stock.

Results & Coach Report
After a couple of long and hot days at Gloucester the full results have been published also attached an easy to read Excel version downloaded from our club database. Please note this meet was quite unique in that in combined Level 2 and 3 ranked competitions.
The standard of the Level 2 was good with some very strong swimmers in certain age groups. For example, a girl in the 11 year old age went 31.75 for 50 Back!! The table below shows the 14 medals we picked up in the Level 2 category. Great effort.
The quality of the swims were really impressive. The majority of the skills were looking good and over 65% of the swims were PB's on Sunday. Sophia P wowed the spectators with her underwater phases hitting 8-10m on her 100m backstroke and 200 IM swims, setting an example to some of our older swimmers.
Moses B was in fine form with some huge PB's. He particularly impressed in the 100m Breast and IM.
Magnus P-T swam fantastically in his freestyle events, smashing his recent PB's.
After a rusty first swim Alexia J also had a fine performance in the 100 Back. Not to be outdone her sister Chelsea PB'd in all four of her events!
Katie Y had two excellent swims over the 50m Back and Breast events, whilst Ben D smashed his 100 free PB by 4 seconds.
Over the longer distances Lucy P had a great 800m race on the first evening, and well done also to Tom J who tackled his first 1500m race with great pacing and was not far off the 20min barrier.
Special mention to Josh B who has been working hard to get back to fitness after some illness. He managed to set new PBs in his favoured 50 fly and free.
I know I've missed out lots of other great swims, for which I apologise, and well done to everyone who took part, we had 104 swims in total.

All swimmers must sign in 15 minutes prior to the commencement of warm up for each session. • If a swimmer is competing all day they may sign in for the whole day. • A £5 fine will be levied to any club whose swimmer signs in and does not then subsequently swim without notification to the Promoter or Lead Referee by completing a withdrawal notice, before the start of each session.
Spectator and Swimmers
The following requirements should be brought to the attention of competitors, team staff and spectators. Swimmers seating and spectator areas are separated by dividing ropes although situated in the same block. Entry to the swimmers’ area is through the changing village and onto poolside. Entry to the spectators’ seating area is from the first floor.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES (except when using as an evacuation route) SHOULD SWIMMERS OR SPECTATORS CROSS THESE DIVIDING ROPES. Additionally, neither spectators nor swimmers are allowed to sit on the access steps to these areas. This is a Health & Safety requirement of the Leisure Centre that we are obliged to enforce.

Results & Report
Well done to all the swimmers that competed at the 1st Oxford Development meet of the season. There was some extremely impressive times set and the coaches were very impressed with the level of skills, many of our swimmers showing a big improvement in underwater phases.
In total we had 26 podium finishes, 13 first places, 6 second places and 7 third places.
On top of this, 83% of our swims were personal bests.
There was impressive first-time swims from our Academy swimmers, Alex Filatov took gold in the 100m breaststroke, Joshua Hewett was 4th in the same event and Amie Cain coming 4th in the 50m freestyle.
Ella Joyce led the way for the girls in her first meet competing for Kidlington, getting two PBs and 1st places in the 200m IM and 200m Breaststroke, whilst Dan Andrew also led the way for the boys also taking two 1st places and a well deserved PB in the 100m freestyle.
Rose completed her first ever 200m breaststroke, overcoming pre-race nerves to complete the race, cheered on by her supportive team-mates. A true showing of the team spirit that this club has.
Finally Moses B led a Kidlington 1,2,3 in the final heat of the 100m Breaststroke alongside Dan A and Magnus P-T. Magnus achieved a 5 second PB and a county considered time, whilst Moses achieved an 8 second PB, a county considered time and arguably the swim of the evening.
The full results are below, well done again to all our swimmers that took part, there were too many good swims to mention everyone. Keep up the hard work in training and more good swims and PBs will come.
